Overview:
Aspiring comedienne Joey Merino can't help herself - at seventeen even her most serious moments turn into a comic routine. When her long-time friend Peter Stillman gets the chance to fill in as a disc jockey at his uncle's radio station, Joey begs Peter to let her share the spotlight. But Peter's more interested in giving beautiful Dinah Smythe a chance to sing on the show than he is in giving Joey her big break. He's too busy being "Peter Zero, radio star" to notice that Joey is his biggest fan. Somehow Joey's got to get Peter's attention. But can she stop joking long enough to let him know she's serious about him?
